Battle Analysis and Summary:
The archers on the side of the Chimera Great King were a little unorthodox and, in normal situations, ill-advised, since they're non-elite archers with poor range, morale, and stamina, but very good upgrades. Of these there were 5 to counter the Greek Cities' taking of about 6 cretan archers, which are elite, fast, and endowed generously with stamina as well as morale. The mitigating factor which turned the missile contest in the favor of the Seleucid-Roman team was the superiority in cavalry. Just 1 companion unit dealt a mortal blow to 3 units of Cretans, while no Seleucid archers were routed or destroyed. The Roman player's cavalry on the Greco-Roman team was too preoccupied in its efforts to counter charge its immediate opponent.
The Seleucid infantry was extremely well upgraded; all but 2 of its 13 infantry had gold/gold 2 xp, and one had 1 xp. Since the Greek Cities took cretan archers, its infantry could not have all been gold/gold, or it could not have taken that many armoured hoplites with decent upgrades at the very least, which, considering they had lost the archer duel and seleucid archers eventually would flank them, would make it hard for even units like Spartan Hoplites to destroy such a well armed Seleucid infantry force with ease.
The Seleucid army had 1 unit of Armoured Elephants which were cleared to swing around the Greek Cities' right flank and rout it at its rear, while the Spartans were still attempting to push through Seleucid sarissas. The elephants routed a great deal of Spartans indeed and ran amok before all were soon thereafter routed. The companion cavalry gave chase to many routing Spartans so that they might not rejoin the battle, though small segments of Spartan units nevertheless did.
The Seleucid army was then clear to assist its Roman ally, which was on the brink of defeat. The sarissas of the Seleucids crushed the remaining enemy force with relative ease, as well was the Spartan remnant forces trying to regroup. With that, the enemy admitted defeat.
